This project hooks guild chat and displays who's an alt and who's a main.

REQUIRES LibSlash

SETUP

First things first, TURN OFF THE GUILD CHANNEL. If you do not do this you will get double sends of every message.

TURN ON CHANNEL_9 and set it to your guild channel color.

Now you should see all guild text through Channel 9.

USAGE

Basic usage is straight forward. After installing type /alttracker to bring up the config window.

Delete the two main characters there, then type your main character in the "Add Value:" text box. Press the "Add New Main" button.

Now select the main you just added from the "Main Character:" drop down. Now you can add alts. Keep adding alts till you are done, then repeat for the next main character.

Once you are done the name for guild chat should be changed. If it looks like "[Guild][*name*]: " that means it's a main. If it looks like "[Guild][name (main name)]: " then it's an alt and the name in parenthesis is the alts main.

FOR GUILDS

Now that was fun, but it'd be annoying to have to do that for every guild member! So here's the solution. Have everyone post on your guild forums their main's name and alt's names. Now one lucky soul gets to go through this list and add it all into AltTracker's database. However you can now distribute the SavedVariables.lua file to all guild members. It is found at [war dir]\user\interface\AllCharacters\AltTracker\SavedVariables.lua

Zip it up and send it to your guild. Then they will drop it in the same place you took it out of and tada! Your guild all has the same alt information.
