For those looking for a mod to switch to now that CUF is not actively being maintained, I highly recommend taking a look at Pure.
Note: This addon REQUIRES you to have LibSlash installed! You can download LibSlash from the WAR section of Curse: http://war.curse.com/downloads/details/13510/
If you are having issues uninstalling CUF, please see the uninstallation page.
Note to authors and users alike: I am slowly moving CUF from an actively developed project to one that is only being maintained with bugfixes and the like. It was never really meant to be a permanent unitframes addon (its codebase is quite horrible, really) and I hope that soon there will be more options for unitframes addons available. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in trying their hand at writing a unitframes addon to do so - feel free to consult both CUF's source and myself for any information you might need, although I would caution against imitating CUF too closely because, quite honestly, the code is a kludge. At some point I may rewrite CUF (or start a new project) into a proper unitframes addon, but it is not currently at the top of my project list. ~Aiiane

CleanUnitFrames is a replacement for the standard EA unit frames for WAR. It attempts to provide the useful data in a streamlined format, while getting rid of some of the "fluff" or other annoying things in the default UI.
When installing, please remember to hide the default unit frames in the layout editor. To do this, go to [Esc Menu -> Customize Interface -> Layout Editor -> Start Editing -> Windows], then check the box for 'Hidden' next to 'Party Members' and 'Your Status'. Leave the (Clean) versions of those entries unchecked (that's the CUF version). The primary and secondary targets you'll be unable to hide (due to Mythic's settings), but CUF will automatically disable them from showing, though their boxes will still be in the layout editor.
Only a few options are available at the moment, others will be added later:
- /clean set targets off (disables CUF's target frames from showing; only takes effect once your target changes)
- /clean set targets on (enables CUF's target frames again)
- /clean set playerbuffs off (disables showing buffs/debuffs for the player frame)
- /clean set playerbuffs on (enables them again)
- /clean set targetbuffs off (disables showing buffs/debuffs for targets)
- /clean set targetbuffs on (enables them again)
- /clean set hovercast on (turns on mouseover casting, casting a friendly spell while mousing over a group member's frame or your own will cast the spell on that target instead, but keeps your current target selected)
- /clean set hovercast off (turns off mouseover casting)
- /clean set hovertarget on (turns on mouseover targeting, as soon as you mouseover a group member's frame or your own frame it'll target that person)
- /clean set hovertarget off (turns off mouseover targeting)
- /clean set friendlyspell <spellname> (sets the spell to use for friendly target range/los fading)
- /clean set hostilespell <spellname> (sets the spell to use for enemy target range/los fading)
- /clean show namecolors (colors names by archetype)
- /clean hide namecolors (turns off name coloring)
- /clean show group pets (shows pet bars for group members)
- /clean hide group pets
- /clean show group icons (shows career icons for group members)
- /clean hide group icons (hides career icons for group members)
- /clean show group buffs (shows group buffs, expands group display)
- /clean hide group buffs (hides group buffs, collapses group display)
- /clean set group buffpoint <anchorpoint> (sets anchor point for group buffs)
- /clean set group buffrelpoint <anchorpoint> (sets relative anchor point for group buffs)
- /clean set group buffx <number> (sets anchor x offset for group buffs)
- /clean set group buffy <number> (sets anchor y offset for group buffs)

Aiiane Tue, 09 Sep 2008 01:09:19No Eloora, it does not.

Eloora Tue, 09 Sep 2008 01:01:50Does this mod automatically select yourself when no other friendly is selected? If so, is there any way to turn that off? I do have a few other mods installed, but since this one deals with player/target windows, it seemed like the culprit.

Hoobley Mon, 08 Sep 2008 16:19:16Very nice work with the icons. Thank you for all your effort.

Aiiane Fri, 05 Sep 2008 04:26:25Class icons will make it in at some point; if you want to show your support for them (and increase the chances I'll work on them sooner), make a ticket for them - just click the "Ticket Tracker for CleanUnitFrames" link above.
Edit - career icons are added in 0.5-beta.

Hoobley Fri, 05 Sep 2008 03:39:45Thank you, sometimes I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer I guess.
Do you have any thoughts on my suggestion for the class icons to be included at all? Is it even possible?

Aiiane Thu, 04 Sep 2008 18:34:29Currently Hoobley, the names are colored by Archetype - brown for tanks, red for melee dps, orange for ranged physical dps, yellow for caster dps, lavender for melee healers, and baby blue for ranged healers.

Hoobley Thu, 04 Sep 2008 15:09:07Would it be possible to have the class icons (small) to the left of the frames? (Just like the ones that show on the scenario summary sheet).
Unless I'm missing some color thing with the names the only way I can see someone's class in my group is to mouse over the frame. I think the class icons are subtle enough not to get in the way of the minimalistic feel of this great addon.
