Uninstalling CUF

Due to the way that the Layout Editor is coded (and the fact that Mythic have decided to not, by default, allow the player to hide certain frames), CUF has to take a fairly forceful approach to making sure certain frames aren't hidden. As a result, when removing CUF the default frames can sometimes tend to stay hidden. The following methods should work to restore the default frames, without having to go to drastic measures such as reinstalling the client.

First, try running the following commands from the chat window:

  • /script WindowSetShowing("PlayerWindow", true)
  • /script WindowSetShowing("GroupWindow", true)
  • /script WindowSetAlpha("PlayerWindow", 1.0)
  • /script WindowSetAlpha("GroupWindow", 1.0)

Capitalization and punctuation count, you may want to copy-paste them directly.

If those commands do not solve the issue, then you can remove the settings files for the default frames to reset them back to default configuration and appearance:

  1. Shut down WAR if it's running.
  2. Go to your Warhammer Online directory, and inside that, look for a folder named 'user'.
  3. Inside the 'user' folder, open the 'interface' folder.
  4. Inside here, open the 'AllCharacters' folder (if you have save-settings-per-character turned on, you'll need to open the proper character's folder instead).
  5. Find the folders named EA_PlayerStatusWindow and EA_GroupWindow and delete them.
  6. Start up WAR again.

    Well just delete interface and user folder and all we back as normal

    Worked great for me, ty. I'll keep an eye out for an update to CUF as I loved it, just its not working for me post 1.06
