3 - Separate movable frame with cooldowns
It would be really great if this addons could be expanded to include cooldowns with option to select timeframe of what abilities to take into account. I don't know if api provides access in information about what cooldown each ability has. It would be nice to have it in separate frame from buffs/debuffs.
Basically what I mean is that I'd like to see cooldown of all the abilities that have cooldown grater then 10s and less then 30m [so that those abilities that have cooldown <= to 10s || cooldown > 30 min are not shown].
I'm not sure if this is even possible, just posting an idea I have ;)

you forgot to include your email in the pm you sent me so I can't reply to it. Drop me another one with it.

Crestor Nov 02, 2008 at 19:14 UTC - 0 likesIt is defenitly easier because when we set buffs/debuffs they dont know in which row they are, this is determinte when DAoCBuff initializes.

mkosan Nov 02, 2008 at 17:09 UTC - 0 likesIt's hard to believe that moving the window in accordance to other's size will be easier then spanning a row of debuffs into a next row. But form the user's side either works xD

Crestor Nov 02, 2008 at 15:39 UTC - 0 likesnot directly
but iam working on a "sticky" feature
where the debuff-window or so will move itself to a proper position
becasue implementing rowsplitting and window splittung is too much work

mkosan Nov 02, 2008 at 15:28 UTC - 0 likesgreat I'm looking forward to that :) I can help testing, if needed.
A bit offtopic, but important to me - is option for row splitting by buffs/debuffs instead of separate frame coming along? I like to keep my debuffs under buffs, but having 2-3 rows of each, make them either overlap each other eventually or leaves a huge space in between [if you move them thinking ahead of how far will the top one span].
Having both in one frame will allow for dynamic resizing as needed.

Crestor Nov 02, 2008 at 14:28 UTC - 0 likesDid some research and found nothing realy useful ...
but that fascinated me so I digged myself into the API of mythic and now I have a first working prototype :)
I will create a new project here at curse(forge) when it is tested properly.
I hope that Olmi will build me a nice Optionswindow for it. *g*

so i read everything again what you wrote,
and iam untderstanding a littlebit more now,
for the next few days i havent got any time for this
but i will come back at this to look if the API is giving me something usefull.

mkosan Oct 14, 2008 at 22:37 UTC - 0 likesI was thinking more along doing exactly the same window for cooldwns as you have for buffs/debuffs. Exactly the same. As to place of the label - be it on the buff icon or under it - it doesn't really matter to me all that much as long as it's clearly readable and I can place it on top-middle of the screen where I can keep track of it all the time. Ideally I'd have something like this:
<<code>>------------ <</code>>Basically buffs and debuffs in the same frame but separate rows, and cooldowsn in another frame side by side with buffs.
PS
btw the markup here totally sucks. the codebox should dispaly things with fix-width font :/ bugs everywhere...

Crestor Oct 13, 2008 at 19:59 UTC - 0 likesif i think about that,
there isnt much place for an extra label for the cooldown
what do you think how it should look ?
