This issue seems to be fixed in 2.1 with the new target selecting method + range checking.

To me it seems like that the LOS target sticks as the friendly target so all other hover targets are out of LOS. I need to unset my friendly target to continue hovercasting.

Hmm. I haven't experienced this issue myself; I'll continue attempting to reproduce it locally.

Essentially, this nullifies Hovercast's functionality in scenarios, or even during some questing when a player strays away from the group. Hopefully will be fixed soon!
