THIS ADDON DOES NO LONGER WORK AFTER PATCH 1.0.6.
The reason is that automatic targeting has been banned (API function TargetPlayer has been removed from the game).

Easy Assist target v1.1

An easy to use Assiting AddOn.
By selecting any friendly player you will get his/hers target and depending
on the settings set you will get different behaviours.

Settings:
On :
Turns the AddOn functionality on/off.

Follow :
You constantly follow the current target of the person you assist.
If s/he changes target regardless of situation so will you.

Lock :
You will lock on to the assist target until it is dead
(or other reason that makes your target somehow "vanish")
even though the person who you assist changes his/her target before that happens.
As soon as your target is dead/gone you will automaticly switch to the current
target of the person you assist has.

Slash command usage:
/MOBAssist off : disable the AddOn
/MOBAssist on : enable the AddOn
/MOBAssist lock : Toggle lock to your assists target.
/MOBAssist floow : Toggle follow to your assists target.

Initial settings:
On -    false
Lock -  false
Follow -true

UI usage:
Can be moved around with the Layout manager or when expanded by left clicking
left of one of the buttons (On/Lock/Follow).

    lialith, this AddOn is from patch 1.0.6 banned and doesn't work any longer. It may show up in another shape in the future if it's possible to rebuild something with the similar functionality. Sorry for not answering your questions but I do not feel any need of it when the AddOn is no more. Thanks, Nekons

    gread addon, but im not sure if it works correctly...(german client) what happens if i have both lock and follow turned on? how do i set the person i assist? can i set a person to assist, regardless what person i do have as friendlytarget? or does the assisted person change to my friendly target every time i change my friendly target? with only the follow setting turned on, why does my friendly target jump to my own character every time i attempt to cast a spell? questions over questions :)
