mkosan Mon, 27 Oct 2008 13:03:31Actually, career info should be mandatory on enemy players, especially for destruction. WAR has serious problem with archmage class being very playable in contrast to zealot. As a result Order always has good healing backup, and that makes players very lazy and disorganized. Destruction, that hardly ever gets any heals/resses is more organized because of that. If order healers suddenly all started dropping dead, perhaps order would be forced to form at least SOME teamwork to defend them, and that might, just might, carry on to other areas.
Besides, if somebody can't tell career type by looking at model, he needs a pair of glasses. I see only improvements coming from tooltips saying things 'DPS: KILL' 'HPS:KILL' and 'TANK: find different target'. Perhaps it would encourage people to actually play with sense, as currently you can only count on your own pack of friends, other people just run chaotically doing god only knows what.
I play equally in both destruction and order, and it's quite bad on both sides when it comes to any organization. If people can't use their own heads, perhaps tooltips can tell them what to do. All in all I'm all for anything that would tell people who to kill first. That way we are forcing teamwork on the other team. And that works for me, as I play both realms xD

JagaTelesin Sat, 25 Oct 2008 05:07:25I would like to add to this request, but not just on friendly targets. I would like all player characters to have their career (class) displayed on the tooltip (text and/or icon). Since it isn't biased against any one class and works for both realms, it shouldn't impact combat like other mods (KillTheHealer).
I currently use Moth and think it's a good tool, but some of these enhancements would make it great. Thanks for the hard work.

Astika Thu, 23 Oct 2008 10:53:25My original implementation had a table that was for the current session only, and originally it was only for Open Area RvR players. Once Moth gets a little more stable with this new release, I will add in career info + icon. Framework first, then the goodies after.

valience1739 Wed, 22 Oct 2008 17:13:56If possible, could you use the LibCareerDB to do this, or make the database that you would use available to other add ons? That way any other add ons that decide to implement career info could simply use one default storage place, instead of needing to build up several separate files with roughly the same information.
