Shinies - Ease of Use

While Shinies is designed to be as easy to use as possible, not all of the functionality offered by Shinies is visible just be looking at the user interface. This page will offer some insight into the functionality offered by the addon.

Browse

The Browse tab of Shinies is the prime location to search the auction house based upon criteria of your choosing. It offers several extra choices when searching over the default Auction House window, including searching by seller, and all possible item bonuses. Some of the additional pieces of functionality are listed below:

• The ability to right click an auction and Buy or Cancel the auction depending upon if you are the seller.
• The ability to save the criteria of a search for use later by setting the needed search criteria, and clicking the Save Search button.
  • Once you have a Saved Search, you can open the Saved Search window by clicking the Show Saved Searches arrow.
  • If you left click on a Saved Search the criteria are automatically populated into the search criteria portion of the user interface and the auction house is automatically queried with the saved criteria.
  • If you right click on a Saved Search you are presented with the ability to delete the Saved Search.

Auction

The Auction tab of Shinies provides a listing of all of your current auctions, as well as some summary information regarding what you are selling.

• You can right click on an auction to cancel it.
• If you click on the auction summary, you can easily copy and paste this information and use it for whatever you wish.

Post

The Post tab of Shinies provides a fast and easy way of selling items on the auction house. You can drag and drop an item to the square in the top left corner and Shinies will automatically query the auction house for that item. Once the results are received, the item will be automatically priced and you are ready to sell the item. The following are the features that are not available on the default Auction House.

• The ability to saved a fixed price for an item, so when you go to sell that item again that price will be automatically used.
  • The Remember Fixed Price option is on an item by item basis, allowing the user to only store prices for items they are constantly selling.`
  • This price data is saved per faction/realm allowing the user to easily play different servers and have different prices based upon server market conditions.
• The ability to sell multiple stacks of items at once
• The ability to configure how prices for items are calculated using various methods, including current market, undercut and statistical market prices.
  • This functionality is not currently directly configurable, however, its a top priority for development
• If you right click on the list of current items for sale you are presented with a menu with a few options.
  • The ability to right click an auction and Buy or Cancel the auction depending upon if you are the seller.
  • The ability to use the selected items current Price Per for the item you are selling, allowing fast an easy price matching.
