SpamSlap 1.6 History Window

Please post suggestions and feedback in the ticket center for SpamSlap: SpamSlap Ticket Center

This mod requires LibSlash to function!

This is a very simple mod that allows the user to add special filtered settings to their incoming tells. Using this mod you can block out gold farmer spam and even ignore users you don't want to talk to.

It's a very easy mod to use and doesn't require much setup. To install this addon all you have to do is drop it into your C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\Interface\Addons folder. If the Interface\Addons folder doesn't exist you have to create the folders yourself.

For more information on how to install an addon please refer to: WarWiki: How to install an addon

Slash Commands: /sps, /spamslap, /spam

Using:

  • /sps filter = show all current filters
  • /sps <something> = add something to the filter list
  • /sps help = displays help
  • /sps help2 = displays more help
  • /sps count = display the total number of spam blocked
  • /sps show = display the spam history window
  • /sps autoreport = toggle on/off the auto reporting of spammers

SpamSlap will automatically report spammers depending if you have the autoreport toggled ON. If it is on, then SpamSlap will generate a CSR ticket with the spammer information automatically and send it. (This only applies to version 1.7 and up!)

To Display History Window:

  • If you want to see the SpamSlap History Window you have to type /sps show.

SpamSlap: To add something to the filter list, you must first know how to filter.

  • 1) Lets say the message you want to filter is: This is a test.
  • 2) You can add the words 'This' or 'test' to the filter to filter out that entire message
  • 3) You could use 'is' as well but it would be way to broad.
  • 4) You can also add the senders name to the filter list to block.
  • 5) To add the words to the filter list, you type '/sps this' or '/sps test'
  • 6) If you are trying to block out gold spam, try adding the website to the filter list.
  • 7) To REMOVE a filter, simply just add the filter again. Example if test a filter then use '/sps test' to remove.

To show all the current filters you have stored use /sps filter

Remember you can remove a filter by just by adding it again!

EXAMPLES:

  • /sps buysomegold.com
  • /sps jacob
  • /sps buysomegold
  • /sps sometexttoblockhere
  • etc... etc..

SpamSlap allows you to enter more then one word as a filter.

  • 1) Lets say you want to block: 'instant' 'delivery' 'fast' and 'secure'.
  • 2) To add the filter use a semicolon ';' between each word.
  • 3) Example: /sps instant;delivery;fast;secure
  • 4) Make sure you don't use any spaces, otherwise it will store it with a space.
  • 5) The system will give each word one point. If the incoming spam text is 4 points or higher (or 40%) it will be blocked.
  • 6) To show all the current filters you have stored use /sps filter
  • 7) To remove a multiple word filter, just add it again using the semicolon.

SpamSlap will also block messages that contain spaces.

  • If 'test' is blocked. Then 'te st' , 't est', 'tes t' will also be blocked. There is no need to add the filter with spaces. Just add the word without spaces and SpamSlap will take care of the rest.

SpamSlap also checks for symbols that are used in the message as replacement for letters.

  • If 'Leetzor' is blocked. Then '133t70r' will also be blocked or any different variations of '133t70r'.
  • SpamSlap will automatically check for symbols in both your filter and the message. However, it's recommended that you add the filter without using any symbols.

You can block both by Sender Name and words in the Incoming Text.

I do plan on adding the reporting feature in when I get a chance. I've gotten very busy as of late. I was thinking of adding a report button and having an auto report feature. The reporting variable is already in the mod to allow me to set to true/false once sent. I just need to get working on the actual report function.

The primary use for a history feature would be to allow those who wish to the ability to report gold spammers. Sadly, simply filtering these people out will not stop them from selling the gold that will ruin the gaming economy. (Which would matter more if there were infact an economy in WAR)

Hmm didn't think anyone would need to know the previous spam. Since if the spam is not blocked it will go through. However I don't see why there shouldn't be a history setting. I'll see what I can do ;)

I have but one request, can you somehow get it to display the last 20~ spams? just so now and then you can check what they were? or maybe route them to a chat window that just has spam in it?
