About Squared
Squared is a highly-customizable unit frame addon similar to the widely-known WoW addon "Grid". It provides a very compact view of health for you, your group, your warband, or your scenario. Clicking on a square will target the associated player.

Notes about recent patches
3.8.10 (Patch 1.4.1): Improved compability with game profile system and fixed tooltips.
3.8.9 (Patch 1.4.0): Fixed 1.4.0 changes: CareerLines changes
3.8.8 (Patch 1.3.6): Fixed 1.3.6 changes: RightClick Menus and Assist, compatible with PTS Built 527.
3.8.7 (Patch 1.3.5): If you were using the "Plain" textures (the defaults), change them to something else to make Squared work properly again. There's a "Plain (1.3.5)" option if you want to maintain the same appearance.
Added in 3.7: Tooltips for units in group/warband mode. Hold down the shift key while mousing over a unit to view its tooltip.
3.6 features a fairly significant optimization for WAR 1.2. I highly recommend upgrading to it for decreased lag when in large groups.
Added in 3.5: Easy exporting and importing of settings. The panel to do so is in the GUI.
Added in 3.4: Toggle/settings button. By default, it's located on the left side of the minimap, but you can move it wherever you wish from the Layout Editor. Left-clicking the toggle button will show/hide Squared (same as changing the "completely disable Squared" setting), while right-click will show/hide the Squared Configurator.
Added in 3.3: Settings profiles. Profiles allow you to keep different sets of settings and swap among them at will. In addition, each character will remember which profile they were using last, and automatically load that profile when logging in to the character.
(For more details all on Squared versions, see the change log.)
Settings
To open the configuration GUI, type /sqr (or /squared).
For command-line config, see the settings page for configuration options (as well as color settings).
If you want to use the settings for one of the user-submitted examples, find the specific one you want in the Squared Image Gallery and click on its name to go to the description page, which will have a Squared Import Format block that you can plug into Squared's Import Settings window.
Reporting bugs and requesting features
While I monitor many difference places, including Curse/CurseForge comments, various forums, and email, I give the highest priority to bugs and feature requests which are posted on the Squared Ticket Tracker on Lighthouse.
Other tools
For click-casting, see ISHealBot.
For range-fading, see RangeFadingSquared.
For saving cpu ressources, I suggest using DeepSleep.
Addon developers interested in developing plugins for Squared should look at the Squared plugin API page.
Miscellaneous
I wasn't going to put up a donation link at first, but enough people have asked/prodded me about it that I figured I might as well. Please, don't feel pressured to donate, I enjoy writing addons just for the sake of helping out, but if you really want to, there's a Pledgie campaign here.

Wujc Jul 27, 2010 at 12:07 UTC - 0 likesHello there! I love Squared so much that i cant even imagine war without him, but there is a HUGE problem i encouter with: I wish to hide all groups (in WB, Scenario´s, etc.) iam not in (i mean all other groups) and view only mine... But iam unable to do it in settings or even by editing addon source (thats done becouse i dont have enough skill prolly). I read many forums and other stuff and iam not only one who have that problem... So, my question is: IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE SOME "SETUP ADDON" OR EDIT EXISTING ONE TO HIDE ALL GROUPS IAM NOT MEMBER ? Or at least make my party position always left (or right) no matter if its grp 1,2,3,4 ?!?
Sorry for my bad english and thanks for nice addon like this.

harlocktaliesin May 25, 2010 at 11:47 UTC - 0 likesI'm curious about a current/functional click cast option for Squared as well. I currently use HealGrid, and love it for having this feature. However, it is no longer supported by the author, and is aging, so I'm looking for an alternative. I also asked the author of the addon "Enemy" about this, but they said it's currently impossible for that addon.

Kenh May 03, 2010 at 12:15 UTC - 0 likes1st, thnx for this addon, would hardly know how to play the game without. Two suggestions/requests... the assist-on-click function is quite handy, but I'm missing the option to use it without a modifier key. Could you add the option 'none' to 'Assist modifier' under 'Misc Options? Another, more complicated one.. atm I'm still using xHud, which appears abandoned. There seems to be a lack of maintained, customiable HUDs. Would it be very taxing to add Squares for Hostile Targ HP, Friendly Tag HP, Player HP, Player AP + Player Career Points/Pet HP (combined)?

khris142 Jul 02, 2009 at 06:57 UTC - 0 likesHello, thank you for this great Addon! I've been playing with this fer a while now and have been ...er tweaking some things :) One thing I noticed-all hitpoints displays were showing % no numbers, i changed that to show cur/max(edit: for solo). Also no options to change the (de)buff/HoT buff box color. And the importer.... I had imported a couple setups from your site and none saved lol, I had to import and save as i went along. And the mouse over doesn't seem to be working? I've held both shift keys.
Overall... I'm VERY happy with this, sooo much better then all of the others I've tired. Support for solo, groups, Warbands, SC, right off the bat - no problams! Add Phantom Addon into the mix to hide the old stuff and we're rolling. And a WYSIWYG builder to custom build while in-game is awesome. And again, thank you for this healers friend.. the default warband ui was killing me... literally (and my realm mates :P).

Aiiane Feb 02, 2009 at 19:31 UTC - 0 likesThat'd be using the direction-column, spacing-column, and columnlength options.

Kyroc Dec 04, 2008 at 09:13 UTC - 0 likesProbably a noob question but is there a way to have squared set up so that I have group 1, then group 2 below group 1, group 3 to the right of group 1 and group 4 below group 3? Group members are going down
