What's New

• All your journal entry locations will be converted to map icons using MapMonster
• Clicking on the new yellow icon in the journal window will open your map to that specific location and flash a small purple circle around the appropriate map icon
• All map icons are managed by MapMonster, see the MapMonster addon page for details
• 4 TomeTracker specific filter categories for MapMonster, 2 for unlocks connected to your current character, and 2 for all other character unlocks you've found
• Fixed the zone error spam. TomeTracker will give up trying to get a position for you if there isn't any toget

Saving your data

To avoid losing your saga entries make sure to keep a copy of the TomeTracker saved data file.

To backup your tome unlocks, saga entries and other TomeTracker saved data simply make a copy of the following file to a safe location before launching Warhammer to avoid any possible data loss should there be any issues, specially when upgrading to a newer version

<warhammer install folder>/user/interface/AllCharacters/TomeTracker/SavedVariables.lua

About TomeTracker and MapMonster

• MapMonster is now a dependency for TomeTracker, it is used to collect player location, zone coordinates and anything that has to do with the map or locations, version previous to 0.3.1 had some very unpolished and ugly code to try and capture as much position information as it could while waiting for MapMonster to be far enough along to take over those functions
• Tome Tracker adds 4 new filter categories to the MapMonster list, 1 for static locations unlocked by your current character, such as war camps and noteworthy people, things that are always in the same place, 1 for variable location unlocks acheived by your current character, such as Encountered a Skaven or Completed 25 Tome unlocks, things that don't depend on a particular location to happen, 1 for all other static location unlocks found by all your other characters you play, further subdivided by realm, order or destruction, last category is for all other variable location unlocks found by all your other characters, again subdivided by realm. I hope these categories will be intuitive enough and useful enough to cover as many players and characters as possible and still be usable without cluttering up the map too much or making too many filters to manage. Categories can be turned on or off by using the MapMonster filter button on your map, even when turned off the locations and map icons will still be created and saved, you just won't see them
• Deleting a TomeTracker map icon through MapMonster will remove the yellow icon next to your journal entry and also remove that pin from ALL your characters. The location data shown in the mouseover for each entry will remain untouched.

Journal Window

Overhead Map Button

• Small icon attached to the overhead map to toggle the Journal Window
• Registered properly with the layout editor to be moved anywhere

Saga Tab

• A complete chronological list of all the unlocks you've collected since installing TomeTracker
• Each entry records the date, location, your current level, and your current renown for each unlock
• Clicking on a Saga entry will open your Tome to the appropriate page
• If the tome unlock has an attached reward it will be listed with a few simple details at the end of the entry (excluding xp rewards since they all award xp)
• Map Pin icon on the far right to open the world map to display the associated map pin and flash a small purple circle around it

Available slash commands

Volunteers Needed

• I have not been able to test Tome Unlocks that have Quests or Bragging Rights/Cards attached for the latest release since they are much further along then I can test. I'm looking for volunteers who have gotten one or more of those types of unlocks and have time to help me dig around to see what data is available.

If you play on a US server (NA or Oceanic Servers) and wish to volunteer just click on my username and start a conversation. Please tell me your server, which side you play, character name your normally on with, and normal playing times. Thanks in advance for the help in finishing up this next phase of TomeTracker

Caveats

• Any tome unlocks you've collected before using TomeTracker will NOT be listed in the Saga tab
• If you crash to desktop or exit in any strange way that doesn't save your setting properly the Saga list will revert to the last properly saved version
• Some Saga list entries may report as "Unknown" coordinates if the zone information is incomplete. Please see the MapMonster page if you wish to help collect zone data
• Cards and bragging rights rewards haven't been tested since they aren't readily available.

Known Issues

• (Fixed in v0.3.1) Some player may experience a bug where the tabs stop working, clicking the tabs at the top of the Tome Tracker window does nothing, this issue is fixed in v0.3.1 and later. As a temporary fix for previous versions, either in a macro or the chat window, type the following line /script WindowSetShowing("TomeTracker_JournalWindowIntro", false) to hide the offending empty window causing the issue for the current play session
• Zone information for several scenarios and instances are still incomplete and will currently appear as Unknown. Please see the MapMonster page on how to help collect new zone data.
