What does option XY do ?
All options are described on the Main Page.
If you don't understand something you can create a ticket to get help and I can improve the main description.
Why doesn't Vectors work like it was announced ?
Some of the announced feature of Vectors only work out if you mind the advices on this page and the main description page.
If you already have done all this, please open a ticket and describe the problem.
How can I keep text readable on small resolutions ?
If we are talking about the Chat Window please read, → How to handle the Chat Window ?.
The windows get smaller, the smaller the resolution becomes.
This is good, because otherwise your UI wouldn't fit.
Sometimes you have to keep some elements a certain size, so you can always read the text in it.
Use the "Minimum Scale" option to ensure that.
You can visualize the current minimum scale with the optione "Show Minimum Scale".
What value you need as a minimum scale has to be tested on a small resolution monitor for every font individually.
If someone would test this for various fonts, I would love to host a list of the results.
How do I port a profile to another ratio ?
Log into another ratio and open the profile management section.
Open the import window where you can choose which ratio from which profile you want to import.
Why does my Squared seem to behave differently from other UI elements ?
That is because of its inner structure, but this behaviour is not bad for you.
Its only that everything except the main bar (Labels/Icons/...) does not only scale with the resolution,
but also by the UI scale.
So if someone chooses a higher UI scale because of his small Monitor,
the Names in Squared become bigger too.
If you're still worried or you have a need to change this, please contact me.
How to handle the Chat Window ?
The Chat Window is special. It only contains text and no graphics.
We certainly don't want to scale it, because the font is harder to read the more you scale it.
But you want the window to still fit into the UI.
What is the solution ? You can use a second anchor.
→ What do I need to consider if I want to make use of a second anchor ?
What do I need to consider if I want to make use of a second anchor ?
Before you start editing, please consider the following things.
- Have your first anchor perfectly set up before you start with the second.
- Make yourself a plan how your second anchor should look like, because trial&error is confusing with a second anchor.
That is because your window will behave very weird on only slightly misconfigured 2nd anchors. → What is a sane 2nd anchor ? - Ignore visualisation until you are done configuring.
What is a sane 2nd anchor ?
A sane 2nd anchor will be sticked on the opposite part of the window. For example if you have your first anchor at the bottomleft, your second anchor will need to be on the topright of the window. Then you "only" have to make sure that a point on the top isn't placed below the bottom or a point on the left isn't more on the right then the other anchor that should have defiend the right edge. If you misconfigure any of this, your window might disapear and the visualisation will display weird things until you fix it. Just deleting the second anchor won't fix this. → I screwed up the 2nd anchor and now my window is missing, what can I do ?
I screwed up the 2nd anchor and now my window is missing, what can I do ?
It is totally simple. Configure a sane 2nd Anchor.
If you just need a rescue procedure without starting use your brain, use this.
Chose topleft, Root, topleft with 0,0 offsets for the first anchor, bottomright, Root, topleft, 0.1, 0.1 for the second one.
This should make the window visible again in the upper left corner of your screen.
