AlertFilter

Note: This addon REQUIRES you to have LibSlash 1.8+ installed! You can download LibSlash from the WAR section of Curse: http://war.curse.com/downloads/details/13510/

AlertFilter allows you to choose what alerts you see, and which you don't. Get rid of the annoying "Ability not yet ready" spam if you don't like it, or get rid of the zone change announcements if you don't care.

To access AlertFilter in-game, type /af or /afilter.

Example usage:

Filters out the "Ability not yet ready" alerts:

  • /af add not yet ready

Filters out entering an area of a zone:

  • /af addtype enterarea

    Hello Ailane

Finnaly I got it to work, don't know why or what I did if anything, but it did respond to the /afilter command today. I was able to add all sorts of anoying combat spam to the list. I'll just have to do more combat to see if it catches it all.

Thank you for a wonderfull lil'addon.

Hmm. What happens if you try /afilter?

  • Avatar of Grunkadunk Grunkadunk Sat, 27 Sep 2008 22:29:34

The /addon cmd shows "AlertFilter" v1.1 as installed. Hmm but I do have v1.1.3 installed, just double checked.

Grunkadunk, what happens when you type /addon?

If that works, do you see AlertFilter in the list of addons?

Either I'm confused, or War-AoR isn't recognizing that I've got the Alert Filter installed?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
    **************************************
Not sure. The problem seems to be that although I've installed "Alert Filter v1.1.3" in my Addons folder for War-AoR, I am unable to get it to activate in game. When I type in /af or /alertfiler It puts me into /afk more with a msg "you are now away from keyboard"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
    *****************************************************
Seems like the game is confusing the /af with /afk even though I don't type in the "k" it almost assumes thats what I mean and just enters me into afk mode without letting me enter or access any cmds for Alert Filter.

What version of the product are you using?
    ******************************************
v1.1.3 - I've deleted and installed it several times. Praps I should try an older version. I've also reinstalled LibSlash v1.8 just incase.

Do you have an error log of what happened?
    ******************************************
No unfortunatly not. But then again there was no error msg, just seems as if the Game is not recognizing Alert Filter even exists. And again confusing /af with the afk command.

Please provide any additional information below.
    ************************************************
nothing else I can think to add.

    Other addons installed:
    ***********************
    AlertFiler v1.1.3
    AutoLoot
    BuffThrottle
    ChatAlert
    Clock
    ClosetrGoblin
    DamageCounter
    LibSlash v1.8
    NearestOpenGroup
    SpamMeNot

You don't have to enter the full text to filter. The % sign has special meaning for regex, which is probably why it's messing up - try just TARGET MUST BE BELOW 50 as your filter.

Cannot filter for a skill that requires sub 50% health.

Screen states "TARGET MUST BE BELOW 50% HEALTH"

Would like to know how to filter this. Everything else is great, you are a genious!

      • EDIT** It worked perfectly, I appreciate your hard work immensely!!!!!
